Connecting in three simple steps
AureaDesk makes a secure, read-only connection to your TOPdesk environment through the standard TOPdesk API. Nothing is installed, and no changes to your existing setup or processes are required.
Create an API account in TOPdesk
In TOPdesk, create a separate operator as the API account for the connection with AureaDesk. Give that account API access and read rights only, on the modules you want to use in AureaDesk. Then create an application token for the connection (in older TOPdesk versions: application password). In TOPdesk, the permissions are called REST API (Read) and Use application tokens (Write); the latter is needed to use the token and gives no write access to data. You manage this account, its rights and any limits on the API yourself in TOPdesk.
AureaDesk is set up for you
Your own AureaDesk environment is configured, and the API functionality available within your TOPdesk licence is checked. The first administrator is created as well. No installation or technical configuration is needed. Before connecting, we ask about the size of your TOPdesk environment, such as the number of incidents, changes and assets. After the agreements are signed and we have your details, we set up the environment. The delivery date is stated in the quotation.
Sign in and get started
When the connection is active, AureaDesk retrieves the available TOPdesk data automatically and you can get started. From the management screen you invite colleagues with a couple of clicks. AureaDesk then works on desktop, tablet and mobile.
Disconnecting is just as simple. Switch off the API account or revoke the application token, and the connection with AureaDesk ends. Because a separate API account is used for the connection, this has no effect on anyone’s personal account, and nothing is installed in your TOPdesk environment. Disconnecting only ends the connection with TOPdesk. You cancel the subscription itself in accordance with the terms and conditions.
